The KR Group, Inc. was established in April of 2008. During the first year of the our journey, The KR Group, Inc. prided itself in catering to small businesses in Western Michigan. With a clear and confident vision into the small business market, it became clear to us where our focus should be.  Six months after the establishment of The KR Group, Inc., the Lehman Brothers, a Wall Street giant, failed, thus leading to a massive loss in the global banking system and forcing the United States into a deep recession. Given the current new financial crisis, it proposed a difficult, yet exciting challenge for us knowing that The KR Group, Inc. was making its debut in the worst economic climate since The Great Depression.  Needless to say, we definitely had our work cut out for us.  After a successful first year, The KR Group, Inc. needed to regain focus to maintain success while continuing to offer superior services to our clients at an affordable rate.  We did.  In the last half of 2009 three new partnerships were established.  The KR Group, Inc. became Cisco Premier, VMware Professional and Citrix Silver partners. Coupled with the previously held Microsoft Gold and Microsoft Small Business Specialist partnerships The KR Group, Inc. began making a transition from the small business market place to solidifying excellence in niche markets. In the summer of 2010 The KR Group, Inc. proudly became Cisco Business Edition (VoIP) certified partners.  It remains our goal to provide leading Technology Consulting Services in Michigan with exceptional service, guaranteed!

Meet the Partners:

Philip Rienstra has practiced technology consulting for more than seven years. With a strong background in small business consulting, Phil is one of the premier engineers with Microsoft technologies. Specifically, Phil’s expertise is working  in the manufacturing market in West Michigan. Phil holds Microsoft Engineering certifications as well as several other certifications in Cisco. Originally from Northern Indiana, Phil moved to Grand Rapids to attend Calvin College. Phil currently resides in East Town and when he has the time, he enjoys boating, wakeboarding, spending time with family and friends.

Matthew Keeler has been in the technology field for over eight years. After attending Spring Arbor University to earn his B.A. in Information Systems, Matt landed in the healthcare industry where we worked for several years prior to his move to New York City in 2005.  During his time in the Big Apple,  Matt became intimately familiar with Managed Services technologies for a multi billion dollar hedge fund company.  Matt and his wife moved back to Michigan and currently reside in Grand Haven. Matt currently holds certifications in Microsoft, VMware and Citrix. Matt and his family enjoy the lakeshore and look forward to spending days at the beach.
